Senior Financial Accountant

Salary: £45,000 - £58,000

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant in North East Lincolnshire with a highly regarded manufacturing company. The role offers a generous salary and benefits package and will ideally suit an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant.

THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of financial information through the analysis of transactions and accounting/tax data using SAP and Hyperion data and by performing balance sheet reconciliations. The role also ensures adherence to accounting policies and procedures along with compliance to UK and International accounting standards and UK tax legislation.

- Preparation of trial balance; profit and loss and balance sheet analysis; sales register; royalty preparation and returns; general ledger reconciliations for centralised activities

- Analysis of financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances including the analysis of revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis

- Prepares and reviews general ledger accounts and makes necessary journal entries including posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals

- Processes and posts journal entries for routine transactions in SAP and ensures accuracy of the general ledger, preparation of annual statutory accounts, liaison with internal and external auditors

- Ensure accuracy of the marketing sales report, liaise with marketing in formulating an effective strategy on consignment sales, ensure that provision for sales rebates and commissions are correctly recorded and monitored.

- Contribute significantly to an effective management of the cash-flow of the company.

- Involvement in the efficient management of working capital in relation to accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash

- Development and mentoring of junior finance team

THE CANDIDATE:
- You are a qualified and experienced financial accountant (ideally ACA/ACCA) capable of working at a senior level, with a high standard of systems literacy and communication skills both written and verbal

- You will need a strong technical knowledge of the UK and/or international GAAP, UK and/or international accounting standards and UK

- Able to consistently meet deadlines, you have excellent analytical and investigative skills, attention to detail and possess the ability to present data and analysis in a clear, effective way

- A good team player, you relate well to people across all areas of the wider business as well as finance

THE BENEFITS:
