Location: Doncaster

Our client who is based in Doncaster is part of wider global group, are the leaders in their field, creating and manufacturing innovative systems such as heating and cooling systems for industries such as Marine, Defence, Rail and Car. They develop and produce the specialist products and systems from their site in Doncaster and have been named within the top 100 suppliers in the automotive industry.
They are now seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join their well-established, dynamic and professional team.

THE ROLE:
Provide product training support to dealers, direct customer and installers.
Perform repairs to all company products both at Doncaster and at customer locations
Validation of application solutions for company product solution (heating/air conditioning/battery system/Charging station/etc)
Provide onsite support of company products
Provide telephone and email support of technical issues to direct customers and dealers
Knowledge of automotive electrical system including vehicle battery technology
Experience in high-voltage dc systems would be an advantage
Air conditioning repair experience and F-Gas certificate would be an advantage
Provide product training support to dealers, direct customer and installers
Prepare reports of customer visits, repairs for internal and external use

Salary is £28,000.00 which is based on 38.75 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from around 08.30 to 17.15.

THE CANDIDATE:
Completed a technical education and training within the automotive market or have comparable qualifications and several years of professional experience in the field of practical engineering (Bus, Truck, Off Highway or EV).
Experience with air conditioning systems and fuel operated heaters as well as electrical heating devices.
Knowledge of Automotive industry, high voltage (400v) and low voltage (12/24v) electrics, batteries, heating & cooling systems would be an advantage.
Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel to customers sites to support products and customers. All parts of the UK and Southern Ireland
Sense of responsibility toward all daily tasks.
Team player who can contribute to any local activities as and when required.
English language skills in both written and verbal form. Any additional language would be an advantage.
Customer focused.
A good confident communicator to all levels.
Ability to work independently and to make local product support decisions when appropriate.
