HR Forum - Doncaster

The next HR Forum presentation will be held on Wednesday 22nd June at 9.15am on the following topic: Doncaster Development and future plans for the area

Peter Norris – PWC will be present to talk about The Skills Bank fund (£17million allocated to this area) for employers of all sizes to tap into. (He will discuss how you can access it and what the criteria is etc)

There will be a slide-show informing employers in and around the region about the growth Doncaster has experienced in Rail, Engineering, Logistics and Tourism.

*The National college for high speed rail to be located at Lakeside.

*The M18 junction 3 – NEW link road and what improvements this will bring to the area.

*The Airport business park and new developments. *IPort *The proposed new trans-pennine link

*Lakeside development plans and companies already signed up to be located there.

*Talks about the considerable investment from some of the large blue-chip companies already located in Doncaster.

*Doncaster’s further development and future plans for the area.

Peter Norris PWC – who is the Lead for the Skills Bank will be giving an update on the £17 million training fund which has been allocated for the Sheffield City Region. He will talk about the opportunities for companies to tap into this fund and how to go about it. (The fund is open to employers of all sizes). There will be an open ‘question and answer’ session on the Skills Fund for everyone to join in with Peter Norris.

This is an excellent opportunity to find out more about the plans in the area, the local economy, new developments, training funding available and how to tap into it, new major roads/business estate developments and the industry sectors that are thriving in the area.
