OVERVIEW:
Long established and highly successful medium sized organisation with strong company values is seeking a confident, self motivated and experienced HR Manager to work alongside the Management Team to develop and build a strong HR presence across the whole business. This is a very successful family run business offering highly skilled technical products to an impressive number of blue-chip clients in the FMCG sector across the globe.

THE ROLE
A very exciting role and one where you could really make a difference especially in the areas of Talent attraction, Employee engagement, Training and development of staff. One of the areas of focus is to look at working towards making this company an 'Employer of Choice' in the area, raising the profile through social media, working with The Chamber of Commerce, Investors in People, looking at reward management, performance management, Apprentice training and development and succession planning. Heading up the Works Council and taking full responsibility for all of HR in the business. This is a stand alone role and would suit an HR candidate who is content with working in all areas of HR including doing the relevant admin/transactional work required to make HR successful in a business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with working in a totally stand alone HR role - responsible for coming up with ideas to improve HR in the business, ideas for employee engagement, reward, develop and implement company values, and prepared to go out into the area talking to colleges - developing and understanding employees training needs etc, working with The Chamber and coming up with ideas to build on the brand/ employer of choice and see ideas through from start to completion. This is an ideal role for a self motivated experienced HR person who is 'hands on' and content working on their own, but also capable of being very visible in the business both to blue and white collar workers at all levels.


THE CANDIDATE
-CIPD 5
-Experienced HR generalist with strong operational exposure to manufacturing/production in an engineering environment (exposure to blue/white collar workers)
-Experience of working in unionised or with works councils
-Strong ER background - excellent employment law knowledge
-Experienced in generalist HR - ideally a structured organised person who is tenacious and likes to meet deadlines. (Content to work alone)
-Experience in absence management, employee engagement, performance management
-Capable of leading and taking responsibility for appraisals, inductions etc.
-Handling of recruitment from start to completion is required.
-Strong negotiator and influencer of stakeholders in the business
-Previous experience of Talent attraction/management, reward and performance management, transactional HR work, and training & development. This role covers all areas of HR.
