Technical Sales Engineer
Salary: £50,000 dependent on experience, plus commission after the development period.

We are working with a global infrastructure provider, who are looking to recruit a Sales Engineer due to their continued growth.
THE ROLE:
Sales Engineer to market and promote the sale of our client's products through proactive business development activity with our customers, agents, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders, i.e., rail infrastructure owners, maintainers, and contractors.
Develop new and existing markets through regular visits and formulation and implementation of marketing plans and Customer Relationship Management in conjunction with the Sales and Commercial Director to generate sales.
THE CANDIDATE:
Educated to degree level in Engineering, preferably mechanical or civil engineering or equivalent qualification i.e., Recognized Professional Body.
Technical Experience within Railway Fastenings Sector, design and / or testing
Railway experience in the UK or other countries.
A background of technical experience with rail infrastructure and systems.
Sales or commercial experience
Fluent English speaker and advantageous to have other language skills but not essential.
Articulate, well presented, and confident.
Good communication skills.
Self-drive to develop and improve.
Eagerness to learn and take instruction from team members.
Ability to work and travel remotely.
ROLE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To present and promote our client's products and services in a technical and engineering bias to the relevant bodies and people with our customer and potential customer portfolio.
Work towards owning enquiries and work within a team to respond.
Develop relationships with customers agents and intermediaries.
Support with Marketing activities.
Assist with establishing and maintaining a climate of engineering excellence, trust, and confidence with existing and potential customers in the UK and Overseas to ensure our position as market leaders.
Work with Market Managers in the development of a robust sales and marketing business management system, to ensure focus on winning business in highly competitive environments.
Support Market Managers with existing agents overseas to control and assist over their activities in order to maximize the exploitation of opportunities with the Group.
Ability to travel to meet customers and agents.
Promote and portray our client's expertise and excellence with existing and potential customers to improve their awareness of the company's development, design, and quality commitment.
Initiate innovative marketing material and assist in their production to stimulate product interest.
