Our client, a leading manufacturing business are looking for a Stores Person for an initial temporary period of 6 weeks (for the right person this role will turn into a permanent one). You will assist with all activities within the Manufacturing and Stores area within your capability. This may include receiving and checking goods into stock, the issue of stock promptly and accurately in accordance with Company procedures and established practices along with Cycle Counting. To record these transactions using the appropriate documentation and computer routines.THE ROLE:
To offload and unpack deliveries from suppliers, check, book in and locate the goods.
Ensure Cycle Counting is up to date
To pick and issue goods for Manufacturing.
Assist with Paint Spraying as and when required.
To pick, pack and despatch goods for spares.
To carry out any other duties that can reasonably be assessed to be part of the role.
To carry out the duties in a manner that safeguard the post holder's own health and safety, as well as that of his/her colleagues.
THE CANDIDATE:
Must have previous experience of computerised stock control systems, a knowledge of SAP software would be desirable.
Must be able to work accurately and quickly in a repetitive task environment.
Must have the physical capability to cope with heavy manual lifting.
Must have a full clean driving licence
Must have a Counterbalance Forklift truck licence.
A Narrow Isle High Reach Forklift truck licence very desirable
Previous experience in a similar position would be a major advantage
