Location: Scunthorpe (on site position)

We are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with this outstanding client and feel this is a "truly exceptional HR position" for an experienced operationally minded and forward-thinking HR generalist.

Our client offers an excellent working environment and culture for an experienced "operational" and "business minded" HR Manager, in the No1 HR site position working closely with the site operational leadership team and being part of a wider UK HR team with responsibility for managing the HR site team, this is an ideal role with focus on "creating value through alignment with both site and divisional objectives" taking full responsibility for all things HR.

THE ROLE:
Responsible for providing a generalist HR service across the entire site working closely with the established and capable site operational leadership team.
Responsible for ensuring the day-to-day delivery of a professional and effective HR service taking into consideration employee performance and personal development whilst providing coaching and best practice to all managers and continually development leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring employee's performance is regularly reviewed and personal development, overseeing the maintenance of job descriptions.
Providing coaching on best practice to all Managers
Responsible for site recruitment and putting in place a robust recruitment process to attract the best talent available.
With support of the divisional UK Learning & Development function manage and develop employee performance to a high standard.
Ensure delivery of the company induction programme enabling new and temp employees to be fully integrated into the business.
Keeping employee records up-to-date and legal and properly kept on the HR system.
Ensure accurate monitoring of pay and benefits enabling accurate date is available for company review processes.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal generalist HR candidate will have previous working experience in a busy operational site ideally working in manufacturing/distribution/fmcg/ where there are blue/white collar workers and a real business focus on Health & Safety & Quality.
Ideally experience working as part of a wider HR team and understands the importance of establishing credibility working as part of the site operational leadership team and working in close partnership developing strong, supportive partnership relationships.
Championing use of the HRIS system, being budget holder for Training Development across the UK, taking ownership for the fair and consistent implementation of HR policies procedures ensuring compliance, following best practice, and leading on new developments.
Capable of thinking outside the box exploring innovative solutions and ideas.
Developing and being a strong mentor to the existing site HR team.
The ideal HR candidate will have excellent change management experience, strong coaching, and mentoring skills, and experienced in multi-site alignment, rolling out group initiatives and projects, alignment of job gradings across multi sites and new grading structure.
