Service Engineer

Salary: £27,000

Location: Doncaster

My client who is based in Doncaster is part of wider global group, are the leaders in their field, creating and manufacturing innovative systems such as heating and cooling systems for industries such as Marine, Defence, Rail and Car The develop and produce the specialist products and systems from their site in Doncaster and have been named within the top 100 suppliers in the automotive industry.
They are now seeking a skilled and experienced Service Engineer to join their well-established, dynamic and professional team.

THE ROLE:
In your job you will be responsible:
To perform Heating, Cooling, refrigeration installations at the customer premises within the UK.
To attend system repairs within the UK.
The repair of product returned to Doncaster.
The repair and service of product in the field.
The creation of Engineers Reports which is both accurate and easy to understand.
To produce Installation and Manufacturing Instructions to the standard required by the company.
Amendment of customer BOM's following installation work.
Lone working at the customers facilities.

You will mainly be based off site (around 85% of your time) around the north of England with occasional jobs in the south of England, your site is based in Doncaster.
Salary is £27,000 which is based on 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from around 8.00am to 4.30pm, if you go over your allotted hours overtime is paid. Contribution pension and other company benefits such as dental care plans and death in service benefits. Company Van with fuel card and company mobile phone.
23 days annual leave.

THE CANDIDATE:
For this role we are seeking

A detailed knowledge and understanding of automotive mechanical systems.
A detailed knowledge and understanding of automotive electrical systems and the ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Experience of installations in the marine industry would be an advantage.
Experience gained with system installations within the UK vehicle conversion market.
Knowledge of the principles of air conditioning systems.
Discuss with the customer the proposed systems technical details and have the confidence to answer their questions quickly and professionally.
Development and validation of installations solutions for heating / air conditioning.
Have the ability to work alone at the customers facilities.
