My client who are specialists in fabrication and machining and have been providing services to industry for over 50 years, offering excellence in machining and fabrication solutions to hundreds of satisfied customers from a broad spectrum of industries. In addition to servicing the more traditional heavy engineering sectors such as Steel, Mining, Power Generation and Petrochemical, they also work innovatively in the Aerospace, Formula 1 Racing and Renewable Energy industries. Their manufacturing facility is based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, with easy access from the motorways
They are seeking a skilled and experience Project Engineer to join their team of highly trained, skilled craftsmen.

In your job you will be responsible for
-Able to run a full project from start to finish including enquiry stage, quotation, winning the job, through to commissioning
-Good working knowledge of fabrication/machining side of engineering
-Managing costings of projects from all sizes from £1k to £500k
-Delivering an above standard service to clients for projects end to end

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 2.30pm

-Experience in steel making/power generation sectors
-Must be able to use CAD Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) Microsoft Project and Access would be advantageous
-Possesses effective planning and problem-solving skills
-Be self-motivated and self-starting
-Must have a flexible approach to their work
-Willing and capable of adapting quickly to changing conditions and requirements
-Experienced in communicating with personnel at all levels
