Location: East Yorkshire (Riplingham)
Our clients are seeking a Senior Accountant from Practice to join their firm based in East Yorkshire. The role will require you to maintain financial records, provide strategic financial insights and ensuring compliance.
THE ROLE:
The duties include but are not limited to:
Taxation - Assist in compliance and tax preparation
Audit and Compliant - Ensure adherence to accounting standard and regulations through assisting with both internal and external audits.
Budgeting and Forecasting - Collaborate on annual budgets, monitor performance, and provide variance explanations.
Financial Analysis - Carry out in-depth financial data analysis, identify trends, and present findings to senior management.
Financial Reporting - Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with HMRC or relevant accounting standards.
General Ledger Management - Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring transaction accuracy and reconciliation.
Process Improvement - Identify and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Software Proficiency - Proficient in XERO, QuickBooks,
Team Leadership - Mentor junior accounting staff and support their growth.
THE CANDIDATE:
5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and presentation abilities.
Strong time management and multitasking skills.
Leadership experience.
