Location: North Lincolnshire

This is a great opportunity for a qualified/part qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant to join a growing finance team in a high profile and fast paced manufacturing environment. Previous experience of manufacturing or logistics would be advantageous.

THE ROLE:
The role is designed to deliver timely and accurate operational financial data to the business by interrogating large amounts of data to gain insight into business process and performance. This in turn protects the business assets through financial integrity.

Review daily key reports and identify areas outside of tolerance, produce a weekly manufacturing/transport pack.
Support the preparation of monthly financial commentary on volumes, manufacturing and material variance, fixed costs and site margin.
Weekly MUV/PPV/MPV analysis, direct and indirect labour analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of the site/transport fixed asset register.
Product cost calculation and cost variance tracking and provide support in quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.

THE CANDIDATE:
Preferably you are a fully qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant with previous experience of the manufacturing or logistics sector although other industry sectors will be considered.

The ability to meet deadlines comes naturally to you and you work proactively, analytically and with accuracy. Intellectually robust and an effective communicator you are able to liaise successfully across both finance and non finance departments internally and externally to gain the information required for decision making purposes. Curious in nature you are adept at problem solving and have the ability to remain calm in a crisis. Sound organisational skills are essential as is a high degree of systems literacy, attention to detail and a real team playing mentality.

THE COMPANY:
My client is a high profile, nationally known manufacturer and a highly successful operation. Based on the south Humber bank there is easy access to the A15, Humber Bridge and onwards to Hull, Beverley and the surrounding areas. The A180 gives easy access to Grimsby and Scunthorpe while the Brigg area is a short drive away.
