Who would love to work beside the seaside? I am seeking a newly qualified/part qualified versatile CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant to join an established finance team in Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast. All that fresh air, a non urban environment and maybe walks on the beach after work? What’s not to love!

Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the Finance Manager the management accountant will undertake a wide range of duties including:

  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts information (including profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow and covenant monitoring);
  • Assist with the preparation of financial and operational KPIs ;
  • Prepare the year end accounts and audit files; ad hoc financial analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts;
  • Assist with and oversee the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations; intercompany accounts and VAT returns
  • Assist with and oversee the maintenance of the fixed assets register (addition, disposal, depreciation and amortisation);
  • Assist with the preparation, review and posting of monthly journals;
  • Oversee payroll, tax and company administration;
  • Oversee the Accounts Payable function;
  • Undertake other projects or tasks as required from time to time


  • You will be ideally a newly qualified accountant or perhaps at finalist level with a varied skills set, a high degree of systems literacy (particularly with Excel) and a collaborative work ethic
  • Organised, adaptable and with a good eye for detail you communicate clearly and effectively across all areas of a business 
  • The ability to meet deadlines is essential as is being able to work proactively without supervision

Our client is based on the south side of Bridlington and operates in a variety of related sectors. There are good road links close by giving access to the wider East Yorkshire area including Hull, Beverley and Market Weighton.

£35,000 – c£40,000 + 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) + free parking on site
