Experienced HR Advisor (strong on policies procedures / employment law)

Salary FIXED TERM CONTRACT 12 Months - full time (consider hybrid working)
£27,000 ( travel expenses)

Location: Grimsby

Our client is in the educational sector and is seeking an experienced HR Professional who can literally 'hit the floor running', strong on policies and procedures, absence management, delivering HR Best Practice and employment law. This is a new role and reporting to the HR Director putting some real structure and order into the HR department, dealing with a back log of work and managing absence and case-work. This is a full HR generalist role working in an inclusive community.

Reporting directly into the HR Director the HR Advisor will be looking at policies procedures and making sure they are 'fit for purpose'. This is a role where there is a backlog of HR work and will require the experienced HR Advisor to 'get stuck into' what is required and help mould a strong and up-to-date HR department under the supervison of a very engaging, informed and easy to work for HR Director.
This is an excellent interim HR role where you will be in a truly operational HR generalist role and have the ability to work autonomously developing HR Best Practice as you go along.
This role will last for one year and will support the HR D in all things HR related.

CIPD qualified (min level 5) or qualified by experience.
Excellent employment law knowledge.
Strong HR generalist.
Experience dealing with large workloads / casework.
Experience with managing absence.
Capable of writing policies and procedure.
Experience of mentoring stakeholders and building long credible relationships.
Delivering HR training and working with managers to be more HR knowledgeable.
Willing to undergo some travel to other local sites if and when necessary.
Confident HR Professional who can work autonomously but also in a team.
