Salary: £32,000 to £36,000

Location: Doncaster

Our client who is based in Doncaster is part of wider global group, are the leaders in their field, creating and manufacturing innovative systems for industries such as Marine, Defence, Rail and Car The develop and produce the specialist products and systems from their site in Doncaster and have been named within the top 100 suppliers in the automotive industry.
They are now seeking a skilled and experienced Installations/Applications Engineer to join their well established, dynamic, and professional team.

THE ROLE:
To perform Heating, Cooling, refrigeration installations at the customer premises within the UK.
Willingness to travel, sense of responsibility, assertiveness and decision-making ability.
The repair and service of product in the field.
The creation of Engineers Reports which is both accurate and easy to understand.
To produce Installation and Manufacturing Instructions to the standard required by the company.
Amendment of customer BOM's following installation work.
Have the ability to work alone at the customers facilities.
A detailed knowledge and understanding of automotive mechanical systems.
A detailed knowledge and understanding of automotive electrical systems and the ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Knowledge of the principles of air conditioning systems.
Confidence to discuss with customer's the proposed systems technical details and have the knowledge to answer their questions quickly and professionally.
Development and validation of installations solutions for heating / air conditioning.
Project experience with the ability to control the efficient flow of project work and to prioritise the activities to ensure that customers time scales are achieved.
Experience with the design and installation of automotive climate systems.
Perform advanced Air Conditioning / Heating Calculations to specify a system to support and guide the customer to a system which will ensure that the performance meets their expectations.
Development and validation of application solutions for heating / air conditioning.
Experience in high-voltage dc systems would be an advantage.
Initiate and accompany the necessary steps to achieve the project release through all the development stages.

For this position of Installation/Application Engineer the working hours are Monday to Thursday between the hours of 8.30am to 5.15pm and Friday 8.30am to 2.45pm (must be flexible due to working nature of position)

THE CANDIDATE:
Required:
Completed a technical education and training within the automotive market or have comparable qualifications and several years of professional experience in the field of practical engineering (Bus, Truck, Off Highway or EV)
Experience with air conditioning systems and fuel operated heaters as well as electrical heating devices
Knowledge of Automotive industry, high voltage (400v) and low voltage (12/24v) electrics, batteries, heating & cooling systems would be an advantage
Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel, sense of responsibility, assertiveness and decision-making ability
English language skills in both written and verbal form
