OVERVIEW:
A great opportunity for someone looking to gain some valuable experience working in a busy HR team.
This is initially a fixed term contract until Sept 2022, it does have the potential to turn permanent.
The position is available due to team progression and the company undergoing a system change to Itrent, so knowledge of this system would be advantageous.
1 to 1 training will be given and you will be part of a friendly team who all have a good sense of humour.
You will be working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, all equipment is provided.
Flexible start and finish times (36 hours per week), holidays are 26.5 plus stats, free on site parking, civil service pension scheme, health care plan, Subsidised staff restaurant, free admission to national museums and galleries.


THE ROLE:
Keep record of all HR and employee transactions (excluding payroll and pensions).
Assist with recruitment for example, publish and manage vacancies: preparing and placing adverts, providing shortlists, interviews and ensure timely and relevant communications with candidates and managers throughout the process.
Draft contracts of employment for workers; ensuring relevant pre-employment checks are completed within required timescales.
Process travel and expenses claims.
First line of contact for queries from managers, staff and HR. keeping robust audit trail and records management. This might include for example, managing data requests and investigations as required.


THE CANDIDATE:
Must have previous administration experience.
Previous HR admin experience is desirable but not essential.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Able to work with multiple systems and pick new systems up quickly.
Organised and able to work to deadlines.
Team player with a can do attitude.
