Location: Hull

Another new opportunity for a Financial Controller in the education sector! Based in Hull, this role is a key appointment in a busy team and not only offers the opportunity to work with a friendly team but also a very generous holiday entitlement.

Reporting into the Head of Finance the successful candidate will undertake a wide range of duties including:

- Management accounts preparation, assisting with the preparation of the statutory accounts, involvement with the budgeting and forecasting processes, 3 year planning and reporting requirements, project and contracts involvement and year end analysis in preparation for audit process.

- Prepare timely cash flow forecasts, ad hoc projects.

- A full and detailed job description is available.

- You are a fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA accountant with a broad based skill set, technically adept and with excellent organisational skills.

- Able to work to deadline you enjoy working collaboratively with a team of like minded people, are able to communicate effectively at all levels including Board and have experience of managing a dedicated accounts team to ensure workload is completed accurately and to time constraints.

- You have competent IT skills and are preferably an Advanced user of Excel.

- Above all you are a people person. You enjoy challenge and working in a fast paced working environment with a capable team all working towards the same end result.

- Previous experience of working in the education sector is desirable but not essential and candidates from professional practice are welcome to apply as are those with a commercial background in finance.

Based in Hull, our client is a member of a group of further education providers. Car parking is available on site and public transport by road and rail is close by.

£50,000 - £55,000 generous holiday entitlement and pension.
