Financial Controller

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Location: Hull

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to head up the financial function of one of Hull's leading law firms. Candidates should be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and have a versatile skill set combined with a hands on approach. A hybrid working pattern is on offer.

The Role:
Reporting into the managing partner the successful candidate will take responsibility for:

The preparation and monitoring of budgets and cash flow projections.

Salaries, overseeing the credit control.

VAT, banking, timely provision of financial information to Board members.

Maintenance and monitoring of internal financial controls including compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

The role will also include management of the Firm's insurance including professional indemnity insurance.

The Candidate:
You are a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with a versatile skills set and a hands on approach. An exceptional communicator at all levels you have the ability to relay sometimes complex financial information to non-finance professionals in an easy to understand format.

Candidates should have previous experience of managing a small team and good reporting skills both written and verbal.

An eye for detail and accuracy is important, previous knowledge of Solicitors Accounting Regulations desirable although not essential.

Candidates working in professional practice are welcome to apply as are those with the relevant skills set and already working in commerce.
