Job Title: Export Shipping Administrator

Salary: £28,000 to £34,000

Location: Grimsby

My client is a leading manufacturing business operating in the textile industry. Together with their customers who are renowned fashion brands, they create and develop solutions that add value to their business and products.

They are seeking an experienced Export Shipping Administrator to join their friendly and professional team on a permanent basis.

Salary based on experience £28,000 to £34,000

THE ROLE:
You job as an Export Shipping Administrator will be:

• Developing and maintaining customer relations as part of an international team with the progression of sales orders from initial enquiry to final despatch on time
• Working with the production plan to arrange transport via freight forwarders to achieve despatch on time
• Efficiently liaising with both with the sales team and banks on letter of credit business
• Creation of documentation for presentation to customers and banks in a timely manner
• Processing of sample requests for new customers
• Organising the movement of the main raw material, imported wood pulp, from UK quay to factory

Working hours are Monday – Friday 8.30 – 4.35pm.

THE CANDIDATE:
• Proven experience & knowledge of freight forwarding ideally encompassing all geographical regions
• Excellent understanding of INCOTERMS, Letter of Credit, import/export rules with intricate financial requirements
• Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiation skills, structured & analytical with high integrity and an excellent work ethic
• A team player with excellent planning, organisational & problem resolution skills with a pro-active mindset
