Customer Care Manager

Salary: £38,000-£42,000

Location: Lincoln

A great opportunity for a customer care manager within the construction / property industry to join a family run property company in Lincoln.
You will be part of a small friendly team and manage 1 member of staff.
Ideally having experience within the new build housing industry you will be the point of contact for customers who have any new build housing issues and have an effective, capable and organised work ethic ensuring you always have quality at the forefront giving home buyers the best experience possible.

THE ROLE:
Be the contact for customers for any housing issues and customer care queries.
Take ownership of all customer care issues, and ensure they are acknowledged, investigated, and resolved within target timescales. Analyse the cause of those issues and use the results to help us make continuous improvements, and prevent reoccurring issues.
Manage the Customer Care team effectively, to ensure that the department fully implements the company's Customer Care policies and procedures and that all issues raised by the customer are dealt with professionally, and in a timely manner.
Build relationships and liaise regularly with the relevant departments to ensure Customer Care issues are kept to a minimum and handled efficiently.
People management including; coaching, training and development, and the organisation of the administrative workload.
Chair internal staff meetings.
Maintain a detailed log of customer care issues for on going reviews.
Analyse and report on a monthly basis to the construction director.
Ensure good cost control within the customer care function.
Ensure that any post-occupation remedial work is completed promptly, and to the required standards, including the requirements of the NHBC warranty, guidelines and Technical Standards.
Ensure that any NHBC resolution works are completed within specified timescales.
Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the Considerate Constructors scheme.
Work on any other ad-hoc projects with the Construction Director as required.

THE CANDIDATE:
Must have previous construction knowledge, preferably within the new homes sector.
Experience working within a customer care environment is desirable.
Possess excellent communication skills and able to build relationships at all levels.
Have the ability to work under pressure, to deadlines, prioritising work load and multi tasking.
Be an effective people manager, inspiring and driving behaviours.
Have a positive, can do attitude.
Be resilient when facing challenging situations and able to remain calm under pressure.
Strong IT skills particularly on Excel.
Analytical ability to review data and present to the senior management team.
Organisation skills and a keen eye for detail.
Identify areas for continuous improvement.
