Salary: £34,000 to £37,000

Location: Irvine

Our client is a market leader in the manufacture and supply of bespoke metal products for the oil and gas industry. With facilities located globally they are a centre of excellence for processing Nickel, Alloy, Duplex, Stainless and Low Ally Steel.

They are now seeking an experienced CNC Operative to join their team at their site in Irvine.

THE ROLE:
Your job as a skilled CNC Operative will be but not limited to
Manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Interpret engineering drawings to customer specifications to produce components to the correct standards within the estimated production times.
Produce components to the correct standards within the estimated production times.
Machining high grade material for example Inconel 718.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Flexible and adaptable to change.
Problem solving

This is a full-time position, working a two week rotating shift pattern which includes one week of days and one week of nights, week one: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm, Week two: Monday 10.00pm to 7.00am Tuesday to Thursday 9.00pm to 7.00am.

THE CANDIDATE:
Required:
Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship CNC Machining experience of medium to heavy components, must be competent in settling & programming.
Experience of operating CNC Horizontal, Vertical borers and Machining centres
Working knowledge of relevant tooling applications and machine tool capability including tool feed and speeds required to achieve efficient cycle times.
