Title: Accounts Assistant

OVERVIEW:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a subsidiary business of this growing manufacturer based in Scunthorpe. Reporting to the Group FD and working as part a team your role will be to ensure that all the financial responsibilities and associated tasks are accurately maintained and controlled.
The company are offering a competitive salary, early 2pm finish on a Friday and working hours of 8:30-5:30 Mon-Thurs, on site gym, on site canteen, company pension and on site parking.


THE ROLE:

The production of monthly management accounts.
The timely and accurate raising of sales invoices from delivery notes.
The timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, matching them to purchase orders.
Raising purchase orders for the company.
Creating costed quotes for customer enquiries.
Maintaining pricing models.
Maintain the company's order processing database.
The timely and accurate preparation of supplier payment requests, through the company's payment systems.
Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts to supplier statements.
Work with the company accountants on the year end accounts.
The preparation of annual budgets.
Processing and communication with suppliers in respect of payments.
Maintain the cash forecast.
The preparation and review of period-end accounts payable and receivable reports.
Credit control responsibilities for external customers.
Daily bank transaction entry and reconciliations.
Payroll processing for the 10 company employees, including timesheet management and holiday day administration.
Prepare and submit the company VAT returns.
The timely and accurate filing of all processed transactions as described above.
Any other reasonable duties requested by your manager and to support duties within the company.


THE CANDIDATE:

You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in professional approach. You will take a pro active approach to work and be comfortable working to reporting deadlines. A sound working knowledge of Sage 50 and Sage payroll would be advantageous.
