12 months maternity leave contract starting July 2024 for an experienced accountant in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The role is full time with flexible start/leave times and an early Friday finish, however 4 days per week will be considered.

This is a maternity leave contract until June 2025 and will provide cover for the Finance Manager.
The role requires broad based accounting skills including preparation of the management accounts, VAT returns, preparing budgets, preparation for year end and audit, also supervising a team of 3 finance assistants.

This is a full time 37 hours per week appointment with flexible start and leave times however it is possible that this appointment could be considered on a 4 days per week basis.


First of all you need to have the availability for the duration of the contract which is envisaged to start July 2024 and run through to July 2025. Pre booked holidays will of course be honoured.

You will be a minimum of AAT 3 qualified and have good broad based accounting skills along with a high standard of systems literacy especially with Excel. Sage 50 experience would be useful.

A collaborative team player, you enjoy variety in your day and working with a friendly, helpful team. Ideally you will have previous experience of managing a small team with a coaching, mentoring management style.

Being able to work to deadline with a good eye for detail and accuracy is essential.
