LEGAL CASHIER – Immediate Start

SUMMARY:

Our client is a well respected, leading law firm based in Pontefract who is looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join them for a period of 9 – 12 months. Our client is seeking a focused, self motivated individual who has the ability to make decisions and use their own initiative.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Responsible for all aspects of accounting for all branches
- Purchase & Sales ledger
- Raising and paying cheques
- Dealing with cash on a daily basis
- Responsible for all internal and external bank transfers
- Using in house banking systems
- Bank reconciliations
- Monthly statements
- Month and year end procedures
- Processing fee earners claims
- Management of legal aid documentation
- VAT returns and reports
- Dealing with general adhoc duties
- Staff supervision
- Full understanding and compliance of solicitors practice rules

IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

- Experience of working within a busy legal accounts department
- Be highly organised and efficient
- Excellent client care skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Be computer literate

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Experience of Sage Line 50 accounting software
- Be proficient in all Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel
